The Maude Kerns Art Center is extending a call to artists to submit artwork for the upcoming “Oregon Imagined” show to be displayed at The Gallery at the Airport in Eugene from April 13 – July 11, 2023. The submission deadline for this show is Monday, March 6, 2023.
This call is open to all mediums except for video art and installations. Two-dimensional artwork should not exceed 36” in any dimension, regardless of medium. All two dimensional work must be framed and ready to hang with a hanging wire attached to the back. Three-dimensional works must fit within a 2 feet wide X 3 feet tall X 10inch deep space, should not exceed 50lbs, and must be delivered by the artist to the airport.
Maude Kerns Art Center with Curators Beth I. Robinson and Michael James is hosting an open call for local and regional artists working in collage to celebrate World Collage Day. The exhibition is scheduled for May 12th - June 9th, 2023. Initiated by Kolaj Magazine in 2018, World Collage Day (May 13th) is an annual international celebration of collage. Collage has a rich history creating community and this art form has been used to process unimaginable world and individual events. The collage community is generous and welcoming while demonstrating what salvage, collaboration, creativity, and healing can look like. Join us to celebrate scissors, ephemera, and glue!
