Anatomy through Art History

This innovative class presents human anatomy in te context of Michelangelo's work. Slide presentations include medical and artist renderings of anatomy and sculptures and paintings by Michelangelo. No experience is necessary, just a genuine interest in art and a willingness to learn basic drawing techniques inspired by scientific and art historical imagery. Students will take away a work of art and a deeper apprciation for the human form. This class takes place at the Downtowm Initiative for the visual Arts (DIVA) at 110 West Broadway.
