Weight
& Float: Contemporary Sculpture
Opening
Reception: Friday, April 4, 6-8pm
Exhibition Dates: April 4-May 16
Celebrating contemporary sculpture, this exhibit features
the work of artists Joey Azul (OR), Cathy Breslaw (CA), David
Lindsay (TX), and Michelle Montjoy (CA). The artwork incorporates
a wide variety of media and reflects each artist’s unique message.
Azul’s mixed media pieces relay social and political connotations,
while Lindsay explores how we perceive ourselves within a complexly
structured society. Breslaw’s work includes large-scale wall and
floor pieces, and Montjoy’s art illuminates wierd and funny aspects
of what is considered normal.
